Ava has been sewing since she was 14. Her grandmother had her own clothing line in Chicago in the 50's and her grandfather ran a fabric store right next to her. Every member of the family was taught to sew, including Ava's mother, who passed the knowledge on. You could say that sewing runs in her family. Ava was an alterations expert at David's Bridal Milwaukee for eight years before moving to Nevada to open her own business. She has taken classes at the University of Fashion, including pattern making and couture dress making.
This is a family run business, as Ava's daughters are now also learning the trade.
